FPAI launches vocational training program


Dimapur, April 19: The Family Planning Association of India (FPAI), Nagaland Branch under the aegis of the Government of Nagaland and the Ministry of Tribal Affairs (Article 275(1) 2017-18 program launched a month long vocational training program on Soft Toys making for young girls in Aboi town.
The trainees numbering 130 registered are expected to learn new skills to assist their passion for creativity and enable enhancement of livelihood from the new skill.
Vineikho Tetso, EAC Aboi shared his happiness on the overwhelming response of the young people to the vocational training and wished that some of them will become professionals which will help them in income generation and self-reliance.
He exhorted all to fully commit to the training, besides expressing hope that other vocational trades may also be added in the future for the benefit of the people in Aboi sub-division from the opportunity.
He also informed the young trainees on the works of FPA India focused on Safe motherhood, Maternal & Child Health, Adolescents health and various vocational skills trainings for economic empowerment.
Songmeth, President KNSK Aboi Unit thanked FPA India for bringing the opportunity of such vocational training to the people though far and remote and encouraged all the trainees to dedicatedly attend and learn; so as to be able to help fellow sisters to learn the art of Soft Toy making which will augment their income and livelihood.
The opening program was moderated by the General Manager, Vincent Belho along with three trainers Salhouvinuo Tsiekha, Alai Phom and Aphai Phom. (Page News Service)
