Foundation stone laid for new college at Mangkolemba

Dimapur, October 24: Minister for Higher Education &Technical Education, Temjen Imna Along laid the foundation stone of New Model College at Tzupaksa under Mangkolemba Sub Division on October 23.
The Minister in his address lauded Dr Longrineken, Advisor for Law & Justice, Border Affairs, Treasuries & Accounts for his active initiatives towards establishing of the new model college and also appreciated the Khar Village Council for donating the land for setting up of the college campus.
The Minister stated that Mangkolemba sub division which covers three ranges has less technically sound educated people. “We need to be technically sound in the field of education for our people to progress,” he said urged the leaders of the ranges and the students bodies to give importance to education so that the future youths who will lead the society are technically educated.
Earlier brief introduction was presented by State Project Director (RUSA) and short speeches were delivered by Advisor, Law & Justice, Border Affairs, Treasuries & Accounts Dr. Longrineken, President, Ao Students Conference (AKM) Imkongwati and Khar village council.
The New Model College is implemented under Rashtriya Uchchartar Shikha Abhiyan (RUSA) under phase II covering 29 acres of land under Khar village jurisdiction and the project is estimated to be completed within 24 months. (Page News Service)
