
DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 12: Former President of Nagaland State BJP, Visasolie Lhoungu passed away Tuesday afternoon at Kohima. He was also the Chairman of Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency at the time of his demise.
CM, Dy.CM condoles
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has expressed grief at the demise of former State BJP president, Visasolie Lhoungu.
The former bureaucrat before joining State politics served the State Government as the CEO of National Rural Livelihoods Mission, under Rural Development Department. “Indeed, he was a hardworking, sincere and diligent officer”, the CM said.
“The Naga society as a whole has lost a leader and a mentor. The vacuum created by his demise will be difficult to fill. However, let us cherish the wonderful memories he has left behind”, he said.
The CM conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
Dy. CM: Deputy Chief Minister and BLP leader Y. Patton has condoled the death of Visasolie Lhoungu, former BJP state president and Chairman of NBDA on October 12.
“His contributions towards the upliftment of the party and also towards the Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency will be remembered by the people. In his death the State has lost one good leader which will be dearly felt”, he said.
On behalf of State BJP legislators, the Dy.CM conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that God will comfort them during the time of sorrow.
Temjen Imna Along: State BJP President, Temjen Imna Along has expressed grief at the demise of Visasolie Lhoungu in Naga Hospital Kohima this late afternoon.
Imna said being endowed with vast political acumen and experiences, Lhoungu gave his best to uphold the Bharatiya Janata Party from the early stages of its formative years. His contributions in strengthening the BJP is remarkable, Imna said.
Stating that his passing is a great loss to Nagaland State BJP, and his immense sacrifices rendered towards the upliftment of the party shall ever be remembered for posterity, Imna Along said the rank and file of State BJP Nagaland Unit joins him in conveying our deepest condolences to the near and dear ones of Visasolie Lhoungu.
NDPP: The NDPP has expressed shock and grief at the demise of Visasolie Lhoungu Wednesday afternoon at Kohima.
“In his demise, Nagas have lost a capable leader whose concern for the common people was foremost and most admirable”, said NDPP president Chingwang Konyak.
The rank and file of the NDPP conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
