
Dimapur, November 14: Two times MLA, Khuosatho Pochury passed away today at NHAK, Kohima. He had also worked as Vice President of Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee.
NLA, Neiba Kronu, NPCC condole
Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly has expressed grief at the demise of Khuosatha, former MLA, on November 14 in Kohima.
Late Khuosatha was elected to the Seventh Nagaland Legislative Assembly from Meluri Assembly Constituency in 1989. He was re-elected to the Ninth Assembly in 1998 from the same constituency.
“His death is a great loss to the Nagas in general and the Pochury community in particular,” NLA Speaker Sharingain Longkumer said.
The NLA expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that the departed soul rest in eternal peace.
Minister for Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue, Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu has expressed grief at the demise of late Khusatho Pochury at NHAK on November 14.
He was the first Post Graduate among the Pochury community. He was elected two times MLA and also worked as Vice President (NPCC).
Stating that in his demise, Nagas have lost a good and humble leader who was an inspiration to the society, Kronu expressed deepest condolence to the bereaved family members.
NPCC: The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has expressed grief at the sudden demise of Khuosatho Nyusou, former MLA.
Late Khuosatho Nyusou was elected twice from 20 Meluri Assembly Constituency. He was a strong Congress MLA and was upright and dependable. We have lived together in difficult times. His contributions to Naga society through a career of public service will be long remembered and cherished, the NPCC said.
The rank and file of NPCC offered deepest condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
