Dimapur, February 22: The NFHRCC has sought clarification from Advisor IT & C, Science & Technology,NRE, Mmhonlumo Kikon for his statement made on the floor of the Assembly that completion of work of the Doyang Bridge construction as claimed by the contractor is untrue.

In a press release, NFHRCC claimed that the MLA had categorically stated in the floor of the Assembly that “he had personally inspected the Doyang Bridge Construction site and mentioned that the completion of work as claimed by the contractor is untrue, whereas the technical report was furnished by the Department concerned as 70.66% of the construction work was done as per the Official Technical Report issued on 03/02/21.”
Stating that Mmhonlumo’s statement has “totally confused” the committee and the general public, the NFHRCC asked the MLA to clarify to the Naga public as to why the progress given by the concerned Department is untrue.
Similarly, the committee urged the concerned Department to make their position clear in line with the technical report given as early as possible.
Meanwhile informing that the Finance Department has already endorsed the file with regards to the construction of motorable Foothill road before the onset of the monsoon season to the CMO, the committee on behalf of the Naga public appealed to Chief Minister Nephiu Rio to provide necessary funds expeditiously as the working season is running out of time.
