Dimapur, November 29: In view of the Hornbill festival and the festive season approaching, Food Safety officials under the establishment of Chief Medical Officer, Dimapur inspected hotels and restaurants in and around Dimapur today.
According to Samuel Zehol, Designated Officer (Food Safety), CMO Dimapur, in the course of inspection, some hotels and restaurants were found not possessing Food Safety license/registration. The officials also asked for hygiene compliance to be done both for the premises and personal.
The CMO office said an improvement notice under Section 32 of Food Safety & Standards Act, 2006 will be issued to food business operators for compliance under Food Safety norms.
