Flying drones near Dimapur Airport banned

DIMAPUR, JULY 15: Dimapur police has prohibited flying of any Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) – drones, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) etc – within an aerial distance of 3 km from the perimeter of Dimapur Airport.
This is in adherence to Civil Aviation Requirement, Section 3 – Air Transport, Series X Part 1 Issue 1 dated 27 August, 2018, said an order issued by Rothihu Tetseo, Commissioner of Police & Chairman, Aerodrome Committee.
Police warned that any violations shall amount to suspension/cancellation of UIN/UAOP of RPA issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and shall attract punitive action under relevant sections of Indian Penal code, Aircraft Act 1934, the Aircraft Rules 1937 or any statutory provisions.
