First Naga IOFS officer passes away


Dimapur, July 12: Chumdemo Ngullie from Pangti village, who was working as Joint General Manager, Indian Ordnance Factories Services (IOFS) at Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, breathed his last on July 11, 2019, at Yashoda Hospital, Secunderabad, Telangana, after a prolonged illness.
The mortal remains of Lt. Chumdemo Ngullie reached Dimapur by flight on July 12. On arrival, a short sent off service in honour of the deceased officer was held in the airport premises where hundreds of people paid homage and laid wreathe as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
Family members, relatives, villagers and friends described Lt. Chumdemo as a selfless, and dedicated government officer. Many also lauded the officer for his honesty and humbleness. He is survived by his wife and 2 sons.
Born on 30th August 1968, Lt. Chumdemo is from the 1994 batch Group A service UPSC and was working as the Joint GM, IOFS under Ministry of Defence. He also worked for a short stint in NEC in the capacity of Assistant Secretary.
After the sent off service at Dimapur Airport, the mortal remains of Lt Chumdemo was taken to his native village Pangti, on the same day for his final resting place. (Page News Service)
