First Christmas Night Carnival kicks off in Mokokchung

Mokokchung, December 20: Mokokchung’s first edition of Christmas Night Carnival started with a big blast with a bigger crowd, more music and better-added attractions herald the festive season on Thursday.
Amidst the winter cool breeze and thick mist covered up the entire town people both young and old came out from their home to enjoy the nightlife at food stalls, fortune games and music with major spirit puller activities.
According to organizers, the night carnival provides a golden opportunity for local entrepreneurs and educated unemployed youths to showcase their talents and also sell their products.
Mokokchung first Christmas Night Carnival was officially kicked off by N Bendang Jamir President of NDPP Mokokchung Region as the special guest with dedicatory prayer pronounced by Rev Ponen Longchar, Pastor MTBA. A short speech was also said by Abhiav Shivam Mokokchung SDO(C).
Earlier, Band party of 2nd NAP Battalion enthralled the crowd with their popular Christmas tunes.
The year’s Carnival organized by Adventure and Motor Sports Association and Mokokchung District Musician’s Association under the aegis of Mokokchung Municipal Council. The carnival is also being organized with support from All Ward Union Mokokchung and Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
