Dimapur, April 18: The Department of Fire & Emergency Services, in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, Directorate General Fire Services, Civil Defence & Home Guards and All India Fire Service Sports Control Board organized a Cyclothon comprising 6 fire fighters/cyclists from April 14 to 18 covering a distance of 200 km from Kohima to Tuli (Nagaland Assam Border) via Wokha & Mokokchung with the objective to spread mass awareness on Fire Safety and fit India Movement.
The Department of Fire & Emergency Services, Nagaland has congratulated fire fighters/cyclists and supporting staff of the department for successfully completing the said cyclothon.
Meanwhile, the Department has thanked Principal Director, Health and Family Welfare Department for logistic support; Chief Executive Officer of the Kohima Smart City Development Limited for equipments support; Chief Medical Officer of Kohima, Wokha and Mokokchung for medical support; District administration of Kohima, Wokha and Mokokchung for coordination support; District Police personnel of Kohima, Wokha and Mokokchung for security and traffic regulation; Station Director, Dordarshan Kendra Kohima, Station Director, All India Radio Kohima for media coverage; Local Newspapers for wide publication; Tseminyu Town Baptist Church for hosting; Chairman, Paraciezie/ High School Colony, Kohima; Chiechama Village Council; Chairman, Botsa Town; Tseminyu Village Council; Chunlikha Village Council; Longsa Village Council; Chukitong Town Council; VK Town Council; Alichung Town Council; Changtongya Town Council; Tuli Town Council; and all well wishers who grace the events and providing refreshment to the cyclothon team.
