Fire at Netaji Railway Colony

DIMAPUR, APRIL 18: Seven Railway quarters were damaged in 2 blocks, while one block was completely gutted in a fire in Netaji Railway Colony, behind GRP office Dimapur today.
According to RPF sources, the fire broke out at around 12.15 p.m. in Netaji Railway Colony and immediately ASC, Dimapur, along with the IPF, officers and staff rushed to the spot and called the Fire Service, local police and GRP for assistance.
Immediately 4 fire tenders were pressed into action, which took nearly one hour to douse the fire with the help of local police and RPF.
RPF sources said that delay in dousing the fire was due to unauthorized structures built in the area.
There were no casualties or injuries reported. The cause of the fire was not known and the value of property was yet to be ascertained.
