Dimapur, April 25: Kohima Traffic Police conducted a field seminar on traffic rules and regulation, with taxi and bus drivers at Phoolbari and High School Junction, Kohima.
Manom Wallim, Dy. SP (Traffic) along with UBI. L Mhathung Patton, OC North Traffic control and personnel from North Traffic Control conducted the sensitization program emphasizing that awareness of traffic rules and regulation can help reduce traffic congestion in Kohima and can save the life of both drivers and pedestrian.
Dy. SP (Traffic) said that ignoring the laws and rules of traffic can lead to punishment in the form of fine and imprisonment. Dy. SP (Traffic) also impressed upon the taxi and bus drivers to abide by the Supreme Court direction for non usage of tinted glasses, bull bars, high beam LED lights and high frequency horns. Dy. SP (traffic) also elaborated on the various measures that the Kohima Traffic Police has formulated for easing traffic congestion in Kohima.
