
Dimapur, March 31: Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung has emerged the leader in NCC activities and was adjudged ‘Best College’ amongst 17 colleges under 25 Naga Bn NCC during the Training Year 2022-23.
The Senior Division (Boys) and Senior Wing (Girls) NCC cadets of the college took active part in various activities like Rifle Shooting, Drill, Tent Pitching, Blood Donation and cultural activities and have received a number of prizes. They have also taken part in Independence Day, Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat (National Integration), trekking, Pre Republic Day Camps etc and have staged spectacular performances in all of them. The cadets have also been in the forefront of social welfare and patriotic activities like Puneet Sagar Abhyan (cleaning of water bodies), Har GharTiranga, Support to Orphanages, Tree Plantation, Yoga Day etc earning immense appreciation from the local communities.
The award ceremony was held in Fazl Ali College on March 31. The same was attended by
Dr WatiImchen , Principal FAC, Col CST Swamy, Commanding Officer, 25 Naga Bn NCC,
Vinod Kumar, Vice Principal, Lt Leremongla, ANO, Dr ImliwatiLongkumer, CTO, PI staff and a large number of NCC cadets. The event started with holy invocation and NCC song.
Speaking on the occasion , Col CST Swamy read out a message from Brig Praveen Sangwan, NCC Group Commander Kohima congratulating cadets of Fazl Ali College and appreciating the college management for unflinching support for NCC activities.
The Commanding Officer listed the lofty achievements of the cadets and praised them for their dedication and discipline. The impeccable role of the Principal and ANO was also highly praised by the officer. The role of PI staff and Purakum, LDA also received special mention.
In his presidential address, Dr WatiImchen thanked all staff of 25 Naga Bn NCC for providing timely guidance and whole hearted support to the college. He lauded the hard work of the cadets and selfless mentorship of Lt Leremongla that have resulted in the FAC NCC being adjudged the best amongst 17 colleges in Nagaland and called upon the cadets to put in their best effort to retain the No 1 position in future also.
The ‘Best Performance’ Trophy and certificate appreciation was handed over to the Principal by the Commanding Officer and ‘Best ANO’ certificate was handed over to Lt Leremongla by both.
Subedar Ranjit Bhuyan of 25 Naga Bn NCC, Mokokchung along with PI staff had carried out the coordination for the event.
