Father’s Day celebrated in State

Dimapur, June 16: Euro International School, Dimapur celebrated ‘Father’s Day’ at the Rotary Club premises with fathers of the school children. The theme for this year’s celebration was ‘Health & Fitness’.
The programme started with a visual session showning some Father’s Day special videos. It was followed by a special Zumba & Power Yoga session.
Apart from some fitness games, the fathers also participated very enthusiastically in the ‘Fruit cocktail/decoration’ competition.
A special awareness session on the ill effects of tobacco products was also organized with Dr. C Tetso (Program officer – National Tobacco Control Program) as the resource person. Dr. Tetso spoke about the various effects of tobacco product and also motivated the audience to get rid of the habit.
The programme concluded with the prize distribution ceremony where all the winners of different activities were awarded.
SXCC Kidima: St Xavier Catholic Church Kidima under diocese of Kohima celebrated Holy Trinity called Father, Son and Holy Spirit cum Fathers’ Day 2019 with Reverend Father Siby John, Parish Priest as main celebrant on June 16.
Fr Siby John in the introductory asked the faithful to remember God, the Father and be more responsible and be good father for the family.
Children, mothers and Franciscan sisters of Saint Mary of the Angels also joined the liturgical feast of Holy Trinity and father’s day celebration with the Eucharist followed by fellowship meal.
KLBC: The Kohima Liangmai Baptist Church also celebrated Father’s Day at the Church premises on June 16, with LBC women president Akengiu as speaker.
