Dimapur, June 7: The 22nd book of Imtijungla Longchar “Fatherhood: The Best Gift” was today formally released at Muffet’s Pantry, Duncan Basti, Dimapur in the midst of the family members of the author, DABA Associate Pastor Rev. Imly Jamir and media fraternity.
Giving a brief introduction of her latest book, Imtijungla said that in the local context, there is hardly any book written focusing on the fathers though there are quite some about the mothers and that was one of the reasons why she decided to pen down the book, which took her a year to complete.
“I’m slowing down a bit,” she said, explaining why she took a year to complete that before mentioning that she wrote her first book in the year 1997 titled “Issues Between Husband and Wife.”
She said that the book talks about the significance of a father and will serve as a motivational read.
She further explained that since the book has been written in the local context, fathers here will be able to relate and through the book not only the fathers will be blessed, but the children and mothers will be able to understand fatherhood in a better way. Her inspiration for the book is her husband S. Wati, whom she calls the “perfect father” and has dedicated the book to him therefore.
Wati, admitted that though he is not into writing, he did share his experience and perspective with his wife while she was writing the book.
Imtijungla also cleared that the book has not been written in a preachy tone despite her being a preacher besides being a writer and anyone, irrespective of religion, can pick it up and read.
Priced at Rs 200, the almost 200 pages thick book is now available in all the Christian bookstores in the entire Northeast. (Page News Service)
