FAC bids farewell to retiring professor

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 17: Fazl Ali College (FAC) in Mokokchung organized a farewell programme on February 17 for one of its senior most teaching faculty, Dr. Imtiwati Jamir who retired from service after almost 35 years of teaching physics.

A press release from the college informed that he retired as the Head of the Department of Physics, FAC.
Teachers from the Department of Physics paid tribute to Jamir by presenting a special song. Among many that spoke on the occasion, Helen Jamir, Principal of FAC, shared her memories and experiences of serving together with Jamir.
She referred to him as a dedicated colleague and a gentleman who had served tirelessly and with utmost dedication for the development and upliftment of the college.
Farewell speeches were also delivered by Dr. Bendangtemjen (FACTA), Tongzuk (HA Establishment), Dr. Lanurenla (IQAC), Dr. Abhijet (Physics Department), Tiatemsu (Botany Dept), Dr. Tsukjemchila (Geography Dept) and Imsunaro (Functional English).
Dr. Imtiwati Jamir, in his speech, encouraged the faculty members to be role models to the students so as to leave significant and lasting positive impressions on them. (Page News Service)
