F-TEL opens counseling & guidance centre in Dimapur

Dimapur, October 17: Flexible-Technology Enabled Learning (F-TEL) based Board of Open Schooling & Skill Education (BOSSE-Sikkim Govt), an authorized counseling and guidance centre office was formally opened on October 14 last at the care of Nagaland Rashtrabhasha Prachar Samiti at Kashiram, opposite Sub-Jail, Dimapur by Rev Dr N Paphino, Chairman, Christian Revival Church-International.


While opening the centre, he said that F-TEL educational learning facilities would help the community, society and particularly Naga aspiring youth, especially those who want to continue their studies right from Class 10 to post graduate level, which focus job-oriented learning.
He further emphasized that in this age of Information & Technological (IT), such flexible learning will help everyone to qualify themselves without any barriers of age, class & working community that is befitting for income generating jobs in multiple sectors.
He also addressed the participants to be a giver rather than just to be a receiver that has more blessing, especially in the field of education and concluded with prayer of blessings for the centre.
On the occasion Dr. BP. Philip (Rtd. Jt. Director DSE) highlighted that the main objectives of opening the centre is to cater service to the drop out school children, whereby a learner can complete 10+2 (secondary & Hr. Secondary) level with vocational course subjects as well Hindi as per the individual aptitude that has flexibility of subject choices, learners can be equipped with skill-based courses so as to find suitable jobs in different sector as per the market demand, at the same time opens way for self-income generating avenues to the unemployed youth.


He also pointed out that, this will be a centre of counseling & guidance for F-TEL Programmes. The Flexible approach attempts to integrate World of Work with Advanced studies right from Secondary to University level(Secondary/ Undergraduate/Postgraduate/Diploma/Vocational etc.) utilizing permissible advanced techniques like e-learning, audio, video, lectures, MOOCS (Massive Open Online Courses) and more.
Invocation was led by S P Sekho, Zonal Field Director, The Gideons International in India (TGII) and lastly while thanking the participants. Vituolenuo Lydia Dzuvichu, Chairman, NRBPS expressed gratitude for every participant, especially Rev. Dr. N Paphino & S P Sekho for making the program successful.
