Entrepreneurs Associates awards 16 graduates

Dimapur, June 11: The Entrepreneurs Associates (EA) awarded 16 graduates, the Basic Entrepreneurial Skills Training (BEST) course, Wave 12 in the esteemed presence of Chiden Yaden, Director, Department of Employment, Skills and & Entrepreneurship as Special Guest and Zubemo Tsanglao, Deputy Director, Employment, Skills & Entrepreneurship on June 9.
The BEST courses attracted trainees who have published books, post graduates and graduates from Agri, Science, Arts and Commerce. 5 of the BEST graduates won the Feast of Merit Entrepreneurship Award (FOME) winning an interest free loan upto Rs. 1 lakh to fund micro enterprises.
Chiden encouraged the graduates that Nagas must become employers and take up business seriously and that the day was one of his most inspiring day to see so many young people aspiring to become business persons.
He further said that Nagaland is the capital of employment for many coming from mainland India while Naga youths of about 77000 are jobless in Nagaland. Chiden challenged them to become employers.
Neingulie Nakhro, Managment Team EA exhorted the graduates that the times when business people were looked down upon is past and now educated people must take up entrepreneurship.
Neichute Doulo, CEO, EA, encouraged saying that winners never quit and quitters never win. “Opportunity is not missed; it is taken by someone else. Entrepreneurs will start their lives like others wont and will end their lives like others can’t,” he quoted. He further said that Nagaland’s economy is on the threshold of explosion and entrepreneurs will become drivers of the economy.
Susan Angami, Advisor, Training & Incubation, EA, chaired the program and Allan Aley and Rozila Sangtam spoke on behalf of the 18 BEST trainees sharing on their rich learning experiences.
The BEST module is organic where trainees come to learn basic business skills for 45 days, in this case from April 4, 2022 to of June 8, 2022 by taking practical classes on street selling, management tips, accounting, business pitch, communications, etc.
The training was held at the Aloha Learning Centre in Kohima. The Wave 12 BEST clocked about Rs. 2 lakhs making it a reality of earning while learning.
