Dimapur, September 21: The ENSF has appealed to the State Government to allocate recruitment venues for Eastern Nagas at respective district headquarters.
In a press release, the ENSF said more than 7000 candidates from Eastern Nagaland has applied for the advertised posts of constable (General Duty) in Nagaland Armed Police battalion and constable (General Duty) in District Executive Force under Police Department, the recruitment venue for which is Mokokchung for Eastern Nagas.
However, the federation felt that the prospect of Eastern Naga candidates applying for the post will be hampered owing to financial constraints as many will not be able to afford to travel to Mokokchung from far flung areas. “It is not only about coming down for a day or two but will have logistic problems during the entire recruitment session,” it said.
Considering the large number of candidates from Eastern Nagaland, ENSF wanted the concerned department to have a serious look on the issue, and reallocate /de-centralize recruitment venues for Eastern Nagas at respective district headquarters for the convenience of the candidates.
