DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 11: The Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) has resolved that its six constituent tribes ~ Konyak, Chang, Phom, Khiamniungan, Yimkhiung and Sangtam ~ will not participate in the formation of 14 Naga tribes forum/body “as proposed”.

This was one of the resolutions adopted during its emergency central executive council meeting held at Dimapur on November 9.
“In the interest of unity within the six tribes, the ENPO shall represent on any common issue-based Naga tribes meeting, in consultation with the six tribal bodies under ENPO. Hence, any member(s) from the six tribes holding any post in the 14 Naga tribes should withdraw from the same,” read another of its resolutions.
The ENPO also resolved to strengthen the Eastern Nagaland Gaon Bura Union and asked its six units to direct their respective GBs to detach from Nagaland Gaon Bura Federation.
