ENPO non-participation in Hornbill Fest is unfortunate: Rio

Nagaland News

KOHIMA, DECEMBER 6: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio today said that the non-participation of the seven tribes of Eastern Nagaland in the ongoing Hornbill Festival is unfortunate.
Replying to media persons on the sidelines of a traditional stone pulling ceremony of the Angami tribe at Mezoma village, Rio said “It is unfortunate that the seven tribes under Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) are not participating in the Hornbill Festival”.
Nonetheless, it is only to express their unhappiness because their demand has not been responded to by the Government of India, he said.
“They (ENPO) are meeting the Union Home Minister in Delhi this evening and hope that the matter will be resolved amicably as these are all temporary things”, the CM said.
