Enough essential commodities  in stock: DCCI

Dimapur, March 22: The Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) has assured the citizens of Dimapur that there is sufficient stock of essential commodities to last for more than three months and requested the public not to resort to unnecessary buying and crowding the market and expose oneself and others.
In a press release, the DCCI informed that it will be strictly implementing the directives and orders issued by the State Government, and asked all shops dealing with non-essential items to close down.
The category includes shopping malls, cinema halls, marketing complexes and shops dealing with non-essential items.
Shops exempted from closure with conditions are medicine, groceries, vegetables and fruits, confectionaries, dine-in kitchens strictly for take away only and petrol pumps.
However, the exempted categories have to strictly ensure the directives of the administration by keeping hand sanitizers, water & soap and wear mask while dealing with the customers.
The DCCI also requested families shopping for essential to limit to one person to maintain best social distancing in the market.
DC Dimapur warn traders
DC Dimapur, Anoop Kinchi IAS has cautioned shopkeepers of stern action as per the Essential Commodities Act against those shopkeepers who charges exorbitant rates and also indulges in hoarding of essential commodities.
The DC issued the order after reports that some shops are hiking prices of essential commodities taking advantage of the present situation. (Page News Service)
