US rapper Eminem was questioned by the Secret Service over violent lyrics about Ivanka Trump in his song Framed.
Ivanka Trump is the 37-year-old daughter of US president Donald Trump .
Enimem, real name Marshall Mathers, released the song in 2017, and it contains the lyric: “How the f**k is Ivanka Trump in the trunk of my car?”
He then calls her a “dumb little blonde” and says she “got dumped in the pond”.
It’s reported that agents visited the rapper and interviewed him in January 2018, but no further action was taken.
Buzzfeed News obtained the records for the case, which say it was opened after a “concerned citizen” reported the lyrics.
But this citizen was actually a TMZ reporter who wanted the agency to comment on the song, after TMZ criticised the lyrics earlier that day.
“I want to know if your agency is investigating Eminem for his threatening lyrics about First daughter Ivanka Trump,” said the reporter.
The record notes that this was not the first time Eminem had used threatening language against the controversial president and his family.
It says: “In June 2017, MATHERS freestyled comments that were threatening in nature towards POTUS.”
And it included evidence where Eminem told Vulture in an interview that Trump “makes my blood boil”.
Agents went through the lyrics with Eminem in his home, but two days later they dropped the case.
