DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 15: Outgoing Nagaland Governor RN Ravi today expressed confidence that the people of Nagaland will continue to stand for peace and prosperity, while also urging the youths to embrace truth and peace as against deceit and violence.
In a message to the people of Nagaland before leaving the State today to take over his new assignment as Governor of Tamil Nadu, Ravi said, “I urge the youths to embrace truth and peace as against deceit and violence. The future of this State is in your hands. Please build the Nagaland of your dreams.”
Ravi said a little over two years of intimate association with the people of Nagaland has left him humbled and deeply touched.
“Inherent strength of your character, innate simplicity, ability to be patient with truth, howsoever inconvenient and unbounded love and affection for a friend has few parallels in the world. Thank you for not letting me feel, even for a moment, as not one of you.
“I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to be associated with the people who strive for peace. I am confident that the people of Nagaland will continue to stand for peace and prosperity”, he said.
Again reminding that the COVID-19 is still around, the Governor appealed to all to take good care. “You are always in my prayers! May the loving grace of God be ever with you! Forever your friend and well wisher”, he added.
Meanwhile Nagaland Ministers Pangyu Phom, Tongpang Ozukum, Advisors Zhaleo Rio, Tovihoto Ayemi, MLAs Dr. Chotisu Sazo, Azheto Zhimomi, Commissioner Nagaland, Rovilatuo Mor, Deputy Commissioner Dimapur Rajesh Soundararajan, Commissioner Police Dimapur Rothihu Tetseo, ADGP (Admin) Renchamo P Kikon, DIG, Training Centre Dimapur, Aotemsu and a host of Government officials, GBs, village council members bade adieu to the outgoing Governor at Dimapur Airport on Wednesday.
On arrival at Dimapur Airport, a colourful and befitting ceremonial guard of honour was accorded to him by the 9 NAP IT Battalion, HQ Saijung.
