EDYO organizes cultural exchange program

Nagaland News

Dimapur, December 5: A cultural exchange program was organized by East Dimapur Youth Organization (EDYO) on December 3 at Kachari community playground, Darogajan-Khushiabill, informed a press release.
The guest of honour Hekani Jakhalu, Founder of YouthNet, stated that the concept of “cultural exchange” started after the Second World War when nations understood the need to hand-hold each other to come together culturally, politically and economically emerging out of divisions and devastation it created. She lauded the EDYO for its initiative.
She also congratulated the organization for bringing different communities together and encouraged them by assuring support and guidance in the future.
Hekani highlighted that many leaders encourage youth to take up entrepreneurship as Government sector white collar jobs are saturated. However, lack of infrastructural development, good roads connectivity, private sector industries with power backups, have hindered growth with limited local economy to sustain such start-ups with limited capital.
She committed that she would continue working towards boosting the entrepreneurial ecosystem needed for creating job opportunities. (Page News Service)
