Kohima, February 21: Dapfhütsumia Youth Organisation (DYO) Kohima Village today felicitated the three top winners of the recently held 48th Angami Sports Association Wrestling Meet.
Menuosetuo Yiese, Kezhaseluo-o Pienyü and Seyiekhrietuo Yiese all from D Khel, Kohima village bagged the champion, runners-up and third position respectively of the 48th ASA Wrestling Meet held on February 12 at Local Ground here.
The felicitation programme was held at Dapfhütsumia Indoor Stadium, wherein D Khel Council Chairman Kelhouphilie Kire felicitated them.
He also exhorted the wrestlers to dedicate more time towards practice and also exercise in order attain physical fitness while also avoid consumption of unwanted substances.
He also lauded their efforts in bringing laurel to D Khel and individually gaining fame while also extending best wishes for their future competition.
GBs of D Khel, elders and senior sportspersons also exhorted the wrestlers not to be complacent but give extra efforts in order to achieve greater heights.
Chaired by DYO president Vituonyü Khezhie the programme commenced with Deacon of Khedi Baptist Church Ruokuolhoulie Kire pronouncing invocation. Khezhie informed that the three of top winners along with Keneisetuo Kire, fourth wrestler from the Khel and others will be part of the Angami wrestlers to compete in the forthcoming Nagaland Wrestling Association Meet slated for next month at Local Ground Khouchiezie here.
