Dy CM sends relief materials to adopted village

Patton relief materials

Dimapur, April 29: In a view to give some reprieve to the difficulties faced by villagers due to the nationwide lockdown due to COVID-19, Deputy Chief Minister, Y. Patton extended help to the people of Noklak village under Tuensang district by sending essential commodities that included rice, dal, potatoes, onions and mustard oil, sufficient enough to reach every household.
It may be mentioned that March 13 earlier this year, the Deputy Chief Minister had officially declared the adoption of Noklak village, in the sidelines of the Prime minister Narendra Modi’s call to the MPs to adopt a village each in their constituencies.
While sending his warm regards, the Dy. CM also send a message to the people to adhere to the guidelines and advisories of the government such as social distancing, maintaining personal hygiene and not to be taken away by rumours and fake news during these difficult times.
The relief package was then handed over to local MLA and Advisor, Prisons and Printing & Stationery, H. Haying in the presence of State BJP President and Minister for H&T and Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along. (Page News Service)
