DVC, NSCN (IM) resent raid by Assam Rifles

Dimapur, February 15: Diphupar Village Council has expressed resentment on the recent raid at the residence of Kishore Jeedung of Dhansiripar village on February 10 by a combined team of Assam Rifles, including Assam Police and Black Panthers with sophisticate weapons, without any valid reasons.
In a press release, Dhansiripar village council chairman, Joydwaj Hasnu and SCY, Village Council, Thangfen Jidung stated that Kishore Jeedung has no involvement relating to any crimes/antisocial elements in any manner.
NSCN (IM): The NSCN (IM) today said that the freewheeling nature of operations by the Assam Rifles targeting NSCN is become an eyesore of the Indo-Naga ceasefire. Terming it as “smear campaign” by the Assam Rifles against the NSCN, the outfit said on February 10, the combined team of Assam Rifles, Assam Police and Black Panthers armed with sophisticated weapons raided the residence of Kishore Jeedung, Executive Member of the Steering Committee at Dhansiripar charged him with baseless allegation of involvement in the recent DHD new and old DHD clashes in Assam.
The Dhansiripar Village Council, however, testified that Kishore Jeedung is not a person to be involved in such criminal activities as they know him well from a close angle. The village council had taken a strong exception why Kishore should be targeted for no reason, the NSCN (IM) stated in a press release.
