Dimapur, August 6: DRDA Mon on August 5 released a translated booklet on SOP for COVID-19 containment & management in peri-urban, rural and tribal areas. ADC Mon, Y Chingak Konyak, released the booklet translated in Konyak, at the Resource Centre, DRDA Mon.
Chingak congratulated the team and expressed hope that the booklet would help the public get themselves protected.
Project Director of DRDA, Mon, M Temjen Longchar stated that with the second wave of the pandemic hitting hard on rural areas, States were directed to translate the existing booklets into regional dialects.
He highlighted the entire translation process and expressed gratitude to all those involved in making the challenge a success in a short period of time. “Along with the booklet, 4 major posters including one with the benefits of vaccination were translated in Konyak,” he stated.
Longchar also stated that Mon District is the first to release the booklet in the translated form. (Page News Service)
