DPDB meets held at Wokha, Phek

Dimapur, December 11: The monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting cum Advent Christmas celebration was held on December 10 at Hammock Resort, Wokha. MLA, Dr Chumben Murry also attended the meeting.
Reviewing the last meeting minute for creation of SDAO office at Ralan, District Agriculture Officer, R. Santsu Kithan apprised the board that at present there is only one SDAO Office in Wokha district. He stated that as per Government recommendation Cadre Review Committee and subsequent approval of the State Cabinet, every ADC Hq in the State is entitled to have SDAO Office and since SDO (C) Sanis has been upgraded to ADC Hq there is dire need of another SDAO office at Ralan New for the benefit of Ralan and Yamhon area.
Proposal for widening and black topping from Bailey College to junction to DIET institute, Vongoju colony Wokha presented by Principal DIET was also discussed and the board agreed to forward to Chief Engineer R&B for necessary consideration.
MLA, Dr. Chumben Murry urged all departments to contribute important information and articles in the Quarterly DPDB Magazine since Wokha district is the only district publishing such magazine highlighting the activities of the government.
Executive Secretary, Lotha Baptist Ekhumkho Sanrhyutsu (LBES) Vankhosung, Rev. Nyanchumo Lotha delivered the Christmas message.
Christmas greeting was also delivered by MLA, Dr Chumben Murry, Deputy Commissioner, Wokha Dr Manazir Jeelani Samoon, IAS and Chairman, Lotha Hoho, Er. Mhondamo Ovung.
Phek: The Phek District Planning and Development Board for the month of December was held on December 10 in its conference hall under the chairmanship of Phek Deputy Commissioner & vice chairman Orenthung Lotha, NCS.
The house discussed agenda and approved the recommended for up-gradation of Sekruzu Town school and also opening of new church run primary school at Thenyizumi village.
Phek SDO, Civil T.Lemlila Sangtam gave a power point on JICA, Japan and highlighted on the programme cum training which she attended on sustainable development through business
