Dimapur, August 6: The Kiphire District Planning and Development Board meeting for the month of August was held on August 6, in the DC’s conference hall, Kiphire under the chairmanship of DC & vice chairman, DPDB, Kiphire, M. Shayung Phom.
Agenda discussed in the meeting included opening of +2 Science stream, construction of girls hostel facility at Zisaji presidency college, effective implementation of MNREGA, PMAY( R) and other rural development schemes, improving internet connectivity to SBI Kiphire, increasing the number of ATMS and branches. The district is also still awaiting a functional X ray and ultrasound facility and blood storage unit/ blood bank.
On the agenda of Local Area Development programme (LADP) fund, the DPDB approved that fund will be equally distributed between the two constituency of Kiphire district namely 59 Sitimi-Seyochung A/C and 60 Kiphire Pungro A/C.
Work distribution for the upcoming Independence Day was done by SDO (C) Nyempo Wallim.
Peren: The monthly meeting of Peren District Planning and Development Board was held on August 6 in the DC’s conference hall, New DC Complex Peren under the chairmanship of DC & vice chairman DPDB Peren, Sentiwapang Aier.
Deputy Commissioner, Sentiwapang Aier welcomed new board members and reviewed the last meeting minutes. Matter relating to District Awards was discussed where he asked all Departments to send their respective Departments proposals.
Peren Child Line 1098 gave a presentation highlighting the Childline 1098 services in restoration of missing children, emotional support & guidance, medical assistance, linking children to shelter services, protection of children from abuse, providing assistance in availing sponsorship, reporting of missing children and providing information about Child Line and volunteering.
DC Peren requested all the heads of offices to be in station and also attend DPDB meetings stating valid reasons for being absent. (Page News Service)
