DPDB meets held at Dimapur, Wokha


Dimapur, March 13: The monthly District Planning and Development Board meeting of Dimapur district for the month of March was held Tuesday in the the DC’s conference hall Dimapur.
DC Dimapur, Sushil Kumar Patel, IAS, who is also the vice chairman DPDB, Dimapur thanked all the HoDs and district administrative officers for rendering their services efficiently during the recently concluded Elections 2018. Further, he reminded the HoDs to keep their offices open from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm and also directed them to inform him if they are to go out of station.
With regard to the agenda for opening secular college at Livingstone Foundation Higher Secondary School, the house decided to forward to the Government, as the required documents were found ready in all aspects. The board also approved for forwarding the proposal for registration of PHINJEM to the Government.
In the meeting, a representative from Toka Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd. Dimapur informed the house of the society’s CSR projects of setting up Mini Science Centres and establishing sanitary vending machines at Dimapur as pilot region. If the concerned authority provides space and electricity, the projects can be implemented by the society with the other expenses being borne by them, the society informed. The DC directed the DEO to see for available class rooms for setting up of mini science centres.
Wokha: The monthly Wokha District Planning and Development Board meeting was held today in the DC’s conference hall, Wokha under the chairmanship of vice chairman & DC Wokha, Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon, IAS.
The chairman thanked the Head of Offices, SP, Sector Magistrate, Flying Squad teams and District administration and all others involved in peaceful and successful conduct of the 13th Nagaland State Assembly election.
The chairman requested the District Transport Officer to urgently convene a meeting with members of the Road Safety Committee to work out the modalities for improvement of the town’s roads extension of town road from police point to DC’s Office junction. PWD (R&B) presented power point of the department’s activities. District Education Officer, Wokha has been asked to present a power point of the department’s activities in the next meeting.
Taking note of the poor attendance during meeting, the chairman warned of notice and action on any member, failing to attend two consecutive meeting.
