DPDB meetings held at Phek, Mokokchung and Tseminyu

Dimapur, January 21: Phek DPDB held its monthly meeting on January 17 at DPDB Hall Phek with Minister for Power & Parliamentary Affairs and Chairman DPDB Phek K.G Kenye.
Speaking at the meeting, the chairman emphasized on the three existing National Highway roads under Phek district for which he commented that Phek as one of the most fortunate district in the State. Concerning on the on-going construction of NH roads in Phek district, K.G Kenye stated and said that the construction companies/contractors have to give intensive efforts on their jobs during current dry season for completion of the roads on time.
Kenye also informed the Members about the prospective developmental projects in the district which also include development of Waterways (Tizu-Zunki Rivers) for which he requested the departmental officers for their sincere support wherever required.
The Minister also acknowledged his deep appreciation and gratitude towards Legislators, Committee Conveners/Members and HODs/Officers of Phek District for all the devoted efforts through which the Celebration of the 50 years of Phek District on 21th December 2023 was a grand success.
The Minister also suggested to put-up proposal for renovation, extension and furnishing of the DPDB Hall Phek at the same time.
MLA & Advisor for Taxes & CAWD, Kudecho Khamo, while speaking, had urged upon the officers to be devoted for far more progress of the district so as to fulfill the comments given by Nagaland CM Rio on the occasion of 50 years of Phek district on 21th Dec/2023 which CM Rio stated and said that Phek as the most progressive district in the State.
MLA, Dr. Neisatuo Mero spoke and expressed his appreciation towards Minister K.G. Kenye, his Colleagues MLAs and officials for making the celebration of 50 years Phek district Jubilee as Story of grand success.
Agendas for Registration of Societies in respect of (i) Phuyo Village Watershed Committee Sakraba-Reg and (ii) Kiavi Society, Zelome-Reg was discussed and forwarded to the government for approval.
DSCO, Peleneilhou Patrick, presented power point presentation by highlighting activities and functions of the Department of Soil and Water Conservation in the district at the meeting.
DEF Police and Higher Education Departments were entrusted for Power point presentation in the next Phek DPDB meeting.
Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DPDB Phek, Kuko Mero, NCS, Conducted the discussion during the meeting.
The Mokokchung District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) cum work distribution for the forthcoming Republic Day Celebration meeting was held at Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall, Mokokchung on January 16.
Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman, Mokokchung DPDB, Thsuvisie Phoji chaired the meeting. In his opening remark, the Chairman maintained that the calendar year will be an engaging one as the members along with their normal official duties will be assigned duties for the forthcoming Parliamentary election. In this regard, he called upon all the members for their full co-operation. He also informed all the heads of offices those who are yet to submit the employees list under their Office to do so at the earliest.
ADC Mokokchung, Chumlamo Humtosoe during the meeting informed the members on the issues relating to Town Graveyard and Waste dumping site. He informed that due to lack of space for new burial in the present site and the problem to identify new burial location, a committee has been set up to look into the matter.
Regarding the problem related to waste dumping site, he mentioned that MMC has taken up plan of action to contain the problems, he also called for more awareness on kitchen waste management.
The Board also decided to recommend the registration of Tuli Area Truck Union to the concern authority.
The Deputy Commissioner requested all the departments for their cooperation and to carry out the work assigned to their respective departments for the successful conduct of Republic Day celebration.
The monthly Tseminyu District Planning & Planning Board meeting was held at DC’s conference hall, Tseminyu on January 16 under the chairmanship of MLA & Chairman DPDB Tseminyu, Ar. Jwenga Seb.
The house discussed for provision of power supply and water connection to multi-purpose indoor stadium, Tseminyu. Proposal for construction of town roads in Tseminyu Town was taken up and the concerned department was entrusted for further necessary action. The Department Health & Family Welfare was assigned to present the departmental activities in the next DPDB meeting.
Tuensang District Planning and Development Broad meeting (DPDB) was held under the chairmanship MLA and chairman DPDB Tuensang, Imtichuba on January 19 in the DC’s conference hall, Tuensang.
After reviewing the last meeting minutes, the house discussed regarding the registration of society. MLA, Y. Lima Onen Chang suggested that the ADC briefs and guides the society members about the Government guidelines and formalities for registration of societies. He also said that only genuine societies should be forwarded to the government for approval by the house.
The chairman informed the house that Dr T. Ao football trophy has been postponed in view of Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games 2024. Deputy Commissioner Tuensang called for a meeting with the NGOs and stakeholders for the celebration of 76th years of Tuensang Administrative Head Quater at the earliest.
Nagaland Khadi & Village Industries Board highlighted and presented their activities and functions. Fishery department was entrusted to present their departmental activities at the next DPDB meeting.
