DPDB meetings held at Peren, Zunheboto, Tuensang

Dimapur, December 9: The monthly Peren District Planning & Development Board meeting was held on December 8 at DC’s conference hall, Peren. The meeting was chaired by DC and DPDB Peren Vice-chairman, Sentiwapang Aier.
While reviewing the last meeting minutes, the DC reminded the district office heads to submit accurate SDG data within one week. The house also reviewed the agenda for setting up of a public park at New Peren Hq, and decided to approve and put forward for necessary action.
During the meeting, the Principal of GHSS Peren said the school building was established in 1947 and is in dilapidated condition. She submitted an agenda for renovation of classrooms and construction of additional three to four rooms for science lab.
The board agreed to endorse the proposal and further directed the Principal to prepare necessary and relevant documents in support of the proposal.
The house also approved the proposal for registration of Mithun Society, Tening Village.
The Deputy Commissioner shared concern in regard to the low coverage of vaccination drive in the District. He said that assistance from the district heads and stakeholders are required in order to ensure 100% successful vaccination drives.
Discussion in regard to strict monitoring of vaccination card at check gates, village adoptions where vaccination coverage is low was also held in the meeting.
Zunheboto: The Zunheboto monthly District Planning and Development Board meeting was held at DC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Peter Lichamo on December 8.
The board meeting began with the introduction of new members and followed up by review of the previous meeting minutes.
The board discussed that unlike many other sub-divisions from other districts, sub-divisions under Zunheboto are yet to have a fire and emergency services station. It asked the officials concerned to notify and update the details in the next board meeting.
The DC lauded the efforts of PWD in improving some key routes under their jurisdiction, connecting Zunheboto to other districts and also appealed to the HoOs to continue to do so in various other possible ways.
The members discussed about the inter- and intra-district taxi fare, and decided to follow the rates prescribed in its meeting in March 2021. The administrative heads were also informed to properly monitor the rates. The board also decided to monitor through proper channel, the legality, rates and quality of LPG and fuel depots in the district.
Tuensang: Tuensang District Planning and Development meeting was held at DC’s conference hall on December 7 under the chairmanship of ADC Tuensang, Ajit Kumar Verma.
The meeting began with a minute of silent homage to the victims of Oting village, Mon. The departments of the district were asked to write to the DC’s office to survey all the government land and plots and submit to Land Record and Survey Office in order to come up with proper mapping of the departmental lands for future references.
The District Aids Prevention and Control Unit Tuensang proposed for an interdepartmental consultative meeting on awareness campaign for the HIV prevalence in the district.
PowerPoint presentation was presented by DRDA, Tuensang on implementations of projects and schemes in its blocks and departmental functioning in the district. The ADC encouraged the line departments to work in convergence while implementing Gram Gram Panchayats Development plan to successfully execute the developmental plans in the villages.
