DPDB meetings held at Niuland, Noklak

Dimapur, September 28: The Niuland District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on September 26 in the DC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB Niuland, Sara S Jamir.
In the meeting, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) expressed concerned over the rising issue of cyber crime, particularly fraudulent bank deposits and withdrawals. Victims were urged to contact the 1930 helpline for necessary actions.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Niuland highlighted various medical projects undertaken by both the Central and State governments within the district. The emphasis was on the importance of public awareness regarding dengue viral infections.
District Agriculture Officer of Niuland presented various agricultural schemes and activities in the district.
Noklak: The Noklak DPDB meeting was held on September 20 in the DC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of P. Longon, MLA, and chairman of DPDB, Noklak.
The DPDB unanimously approved the proposal for the establishment of a Government Primary School at Tukhinkiu Village under Thonoknyu Sub-Division, Noklak District.
Kathyinla, EAC Noklak, presented a proposal received from IDAN on the SFURTI scheme for Noklak District. Under this scheme, a fruits and vegetables cluster will be developed, leading to the marketing of products like juice, dried fruits, flavor jams, jelly, and packaged items.
Recognizing the importance of healthcare services in the block, the DPDB discussed the matter of posting a Medical Officer (MO) at Thonoknyu Primary Health Centre (PHC).
