DPDB meeting held at Phek, Tsg, Zbto


Dimapur, May 14: The District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) Phek meeting was held on May 10 in the DC’s conference hall, Phek.
The meeting began with review of the last meeting minutes. The MLA for 17 A/C, Kezhienye spoke appealed to the members of the house to be in station as they are duty bound for the upliftment of the people.
MLA, KuzholuzoNienu who also attended the meeting said though he might be in the bench of opposition, hoped that strong opposition maybe more effective in running the government.
DC Phek, Shanavas C, IAS on behalf of the government servants assured to give their best services to the people and called upon all the employees to co-operate so that the target and vision can be achieved.
Meluri SDEO (Education), AppeLohe suggested change of school name and the problems it faces. Executive Engineer PWD, AbhijaKhing highlighted on all-weather roads for the district. Executive Engineer Power presented the departmental activities in the meeting.
Tseminyu SDPDB: The Tseminyu SDPDB meeting was held at DB’s Customary Court, ADC office on May 10 under the chairmanship of ADC and vice chairman SDPDB, Theodore Yanthan.
Regarding the proposed medical camp in the Sub-Division to be held in the first week of June/2018, the ADC requested SMO, CHC Tseminyu, Dr Tinenlo James to acquire necessary requirements and sufficient medicines for the success of the camp.
The meeting also discussed the forthcoming by-election for the lone LokSabha seat in the State.
The agenda for deploying Women Police (Women Cell) at Tseminyu Police Station which was put up in the meeting by ASI Peno Rengma of Tseminyu Police Station was also deliberated.
The Tuensang District Planning and Development Board, monthly meeting was held Thursday in the DC’s conference hall under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner& vice chairman DPDB Tuensang, L. JamithungLotha.
After reviewing the last meeting minutes, Power Point presentation on departmental activities was presented by the departments of Irrigation &Flood Control and forest.
The Power Department has been entrusted to present Power Point Presentation in the next meeting. The chairman also informed that the felicitation programme in honour of elected members of Tuensang District has been deferred to May 15.
Zunheboto: The Zunheboto district planning and development board meeting was held on May 8 under the chairmanship of Khehovi, chairman DPDB & Advisor Tourism, Art & Culture.
In the meeting, Khehovi highlighted the PDA government’s vision to bring new changes in the state through good development. He informed that the government has implemented ‘No work No Pay policy’, and surprise checking of attendance will be done. He also directed that from the next DPDB, only HoDs should attend the meeting. “No representatives would be accepted,” he said.
Reviewing the minutes of the last meeting, Social Welfare and Education Departments were requested to submit report on ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ scheme in the next meeting.
Proposal for renovation of toilets and construction of retaining wall at the Badminton Stadium was discussed and accordingly District Sports Officer was directed to submit detail report. The board also discussed the proposal for financial assistance for constructing ZSTH meeting hall at DC hill (w) Zunheboto.
In the meeting, all developmental departments were requested to submit their respective vision for the district. Agri and Allied department was directed to constitute a committee for ‘Vision 2025’ latest by July.
