DPDB meeting held at Longleng

Dimapur, August 14: The Longleng District Planning & Development Board meeting was held under the new chairmanship of BS Nganlang Phom on August 13 in the DC’s conference hall.
Exhorting the members, Phom said for any organization good team work is required for fruitful outcome and urged for collective effort of every member for effective planning in the district. Asserting that he is ever ready to give patient hearing to the grievances of the members, he appealed to them to raise their problems and difficulties of the departments and at the same time sought cooperation and support of every DPDB member for smooth and effective functioning.
Minister S Pangnyu Phom informed that Cabinet meeting of the State Government may be held at Longleng district at any time and urged the members to be alert and active with their respective departmental activities. He appealed to the members to extend all possible help and cooperation to any NGOs, clubs or organization who are working in reality for the upliftment of the district.
Earlier, Deputy Commissioner John Tsulise Sangtam cautioned that any members found absent for 3 consecutive DPDB meeting will be reflected in the APAR.
The board approved the LADP 2019-20 for 49 A/C Tamlu and 50 A/C Longleng. It also recommended for construction of retaining/protection wall above CMO office and district hospital, Longleng to the concern department. After discussing the agenda proposed by the Deputy Commissioner for electrification in new site where new government buildings / quarters are coming up, the board directed the SDO (Power) to prepare the DPR and submit in the next meeting for approval.
Pughoboto: Sub Divisional Planning & Development Board was held under the chairmanship of MLA & Chairman SDPDB Pughoboto, Y. Vikheho Swu at DB court hall on August 13.
The MLA informed that the ‘best village council’ award should be given instead of the “best village council chairman award,” which was agreed in the last meeting. He added that the criteria for the award is to be decided by the administration.
SDO civil also asked the award committee members to see how the villages are performing, and to submit the report in time.
The house also deliberated the agenda, which was submitted by Dr Sukhato Wotsa for setting up a fire station at Pughoboto, Forest Reserve of Stag Sanctuary in Ighanumi, Tragopan Sanctuary at Lazami.
Tobu: The Tobu SDPDB meeting was held on August 13 under the chairmanship of ADC Tobu, Mudongoi Chuzho.
Points discussed at the meeting were poor supply of water, electricity, poor attendances of Head Departments and construction of quarter guard room at 6th NAP Pokyang Post Tobu.
