DPDB meet held at Longleng


Dimapur, March 10: The Longleng District Planning & Development Board meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner, Longleng, John Tsulise Sangtam on March 7 in the DC’s conference hall, Longleng.
The Deputy Commissioner welcomed the members present and extended his appreciation to all the Government employees of the district for extending their cooperation and support to the district administration and the Election Commission of India for successful conduct of election in the district.
He asserted that conduct of peaceful election in the district signifies the hard work, sincerity and dedication of the Government officials, civil societies, NGOs and the Churches of Longleng district, and added that without the effort of the Government officials we would have invited unpleasant incidents during election. He also extended his gratitude particularly to the Churches and the civil societies for the clean election campaign which leads to peaceful poll without any unwanted situation in the district. He further lauded the general mass for maintain peace and tranquility in the district since announcement of election till the counting period.
The DC & DEO also informed that action shall be initiated as per the provision of the law against those erring officials who have neglected election duty. He informed the officials that parliamentary election would be conducted after six months and asked the officials to be aware and prepare for the same.
The Deputy Commissioner also appealed to all the members of the DPDB to be active and present in all official programs and functions in the district and said that disciplinary action shall be taken against those members found absent consecutively for three times. (Page News Service)
