DPC, KPC grieve colleague’s demise

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 25: The Dimapur Press Club (DPC) has expressed grief at the demise of Eric Miachieo, who breathed his last on January 25. He was one of the founding members of DPC and served as Secretary of the Club during its inception.
“It is with profound sadness that we bid farewell to Miachieo, whose invaluable contributions have left an indelible mark on the journalistic field”, the DPC said in a condolence message.
The DPC also conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed to God to give them comfort and strength at the time of grief. It also prayed for the departed soul to rest in perfect peace.
The Kohima Press Club has mourned the sad and untimely demise of senior journalist and former Vice President of the Press Club, Eric Miachieo, who breathed his last on the afternoon of January 25.
In a condolence message, the KPC stated that in his journey as a journalist, he had covered stories of importance especially that of social concern, political developments and issues surrounding the Indo-Naga conflict.
He was elected as Vice President of Kohima Press Club on January 25, 2010 wherein he served in this capacity for the tenure 2010-2012. The Club remembered his invaluable contributions to the growth of the Press Club.
Stating that in his demise, the Club has lost a dear friend and colleague, who was also humble, honest and a true gentleman, the KPC paid rich tributes to former Vice President and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.

At this hour of grief, the Page family conveyed heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family and prayed to Almighty God to give them strength to bear the loss.
