DOT Talks conducts webinar series

Dimapur, April 25: With the COVID-19 lockdown suspending classes in all schools, colleges and universities, DOT Talks in collaboration with Tetso College in continuation of its lecture series conducted the first webinar on the topic ‘The Short Story – A Reappraisal’ on April 20. The resource person was Dr Ananya Ghoshal, Assistant Professor of English in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at IIT Indore.
The purpose of the talk was to provide an insight into the literary genre of short stories with an emphasis on its structure, elements, formats, techniques, etc. of storytelling.
The second DOT Talks webinar titled ‘Cultivating positive mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic’ held on April 23 witnessed Nouzhienino Peseyie, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, School of Social Sciences, Tetso College, disseminate practical and theoretical information on how to cultivate positive mental health in order to prevent anxiety, worry, and depression, and help the individual be an asset for one’s family and society. Peseyie suggested certain steps or practical applications that one can exercise and incorporate into our day to day lives.
The next webinar will be held on the topic ‘Legal implications of COVID-19’ on April 28 to be presented by Dr Aniruddha Babar, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, Tetso College. The event is open for all and can be accessed by going to the link: bit.ly/dottalks0428
