DoSE notify schools on UDISE, SDMIS


Dimapur, May 10: The Directorate of School Education has notified all schools in the State under the Department of School Education, private schools and other schools like Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya & Kendriya Vidyalayas and all schools under CBSEs & ICSEs that the Department is collecting school information as on 30th September 2017 for all elementary, secondary & higher secondary through mandatory UDISE (Unified District Education System for Education) and SDMIS (Student Database Management Information System) as directed by Government of India, MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource & Development) Department of School Education & Literacy, New Delhi.
In this connection, all schools have been requested to cooperate with their respective District Education Officers (DEOs) or any authorized personnel from the Department in submitting the required filled up Data Capture Formats as per the timeline against respective DEOs.
The end results from the data produces Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER), Net Enrolment Ratio (NER), Dropout Rates & Teachers status etc. which reflects the status of education of the State as a whole.
Also, in view of the RTE (Right to Education) Act, all school authorities have been notified to submit authentic and accurate information pertaining to their respective schools. It said incomplete, inflated enrolment and non submission of the data has become an obstacle towards authentic information and timely completion of UDISE & SDMIS since the work itself is a time bound assignment.
The DoSE informed that in the event of failure to provide duly filled-in formats on or before the last dates set by respective DEOs, the concerned school shall be treated as non-cooperative and the department shall be constraint to invoke the non-cooperation clause in whatever format they may be which may lead to de-recognition etc. (Page News Service)
