
DIMAPUR, JANUARY 6: The Nagaland Foot Hill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) has urged the State Public Works Department (PWD) not to entertain “any external force in the selection of contractors” in regards to the jeep-able foothill road construction.
In a statement, the Committee expressed hope that the Department would award the contract only to competent firms on the condition that it won’t sublet the contract to any third party firms.
It further asked the Government to uphold the tripartite agreement between the Department, the Contractors and the NFHRCC for effective and transparent implementation of the works along with the respective tribal hohos in their respective jurisdictions.
“The Committee do also fervently appeals to the bridge contractor M/S L Pukhato Sohe & Sons to complete the bridge construction by February 2022 by any means positively without any compromise on the quality of works executed”, it stated.
