DNSU questions delay in COVID-19 test results of citizens

Dimapur, July 31: The Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) has strongly supported the assertion made by Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) on the delay in COVID-19 test results of sample collected from more than 70 staff of GM office, NST Dimapur.
In a release, the DNSU asked why the results of commoners’ are being delayed despite being collected on July 24 whereas samples of VIP’s bodyguards and drivers collected on July 26 had been given.
“Isn’t it clearly biased? Why is that the whole denizens of Dimapur lives are put at the risk of only one technician,” it asked.
The DNSU also demanded to know why the BSL-2 Lab at CIHSR been rendered out of service; and why were the chemicals and reagents not restocked immediately?
Demanding immediate response from the Government within the stipulated time mentioned by the NCD, the DNSU warned that “failure to these issues will be taken to the streets of Dimapur”. It further urged the Government to immediately install the BSL-3 Lab at Dimapur District Hospital, if not the DNSU also, will not stay silent. (Page News Service)
