DIMAPUR, JANUARY 25: Throwing its weight behind the call by Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur to establish a cyber cell in Dimapur, the Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) has urged the authorities to consider the matter with paramount concern.
With development in technologies and widespread use of internet, cyber crime has become a serious issue and a real threat to the people, the DNSU stated in a press release issued on Monday.
“And whereas it is very unfortunate to learn that there is only one cyber cell in Kohima for the whole State of Nagaland. The complainants are compelled to run to Kohima to register the case amounting to an unnecessary harassment,” it stated.
Further, the union appealed to all the police stations in Nagaland to initiate Zero FIR system for cyber crime.
