DNSU appeals to pvt school & colleges to give concession in students’ fees

Dimapur, May 18: Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) has appealed to all private schools and colleges to give concession in fees to the students.
The Union stated that with the pandemic of Covid-19, majority of the citizens are at distress mentally, physically and financially as such that it is the moral and social obligation of every sensible citizens to understand the situation and hardships of the fellow citizens on humanitarian ground.
The Union requested the private schools and colleges to take this appeal with utmost importance by taking the grievances of the common people into consideration.
On learning that some private agencies are approaching some schools and colleges to collect the names and money from students on the pretext of filing up scholarship forms, the Union reminded that the Ministry of Minority Affairs are yet to give directives to fill up the scholarship forms.
It further stated that some technical issues in the past related to agencies and scholarship had created havoc in between the students and agencies. Therefore, it warned those responsible agencies to take proper precautionary measures before taking up the task.
It also directed those erring agencies to approach the DNSU and sign the undertaking to take complete responsibility on any discrepancies in the due course of executing the duty on scholarship. (Page News Service)
