DMC, CAN Youth conducts paper bag making training


Dimapur, August 7: One-day training on paper bag making was conducted for Ebenezer Orphanage Home by Dimapur Municipal Council in collaboration with CAN Youth on August 4 at Recreation room of Ebenezer home.
The program started with an introduction by Akum Amri the proprietor of the orphanage home. He thanked the Dimapur Municipal Council for approving to their proposal on the paper bag training. Further, he spoke about transforming the society into a peaceful environment which will further lead to the achievement of a better Nagaland.
He also spoke about the pollution caused by the use of polythene bag/ plastic which is hazardous to the humans as well as for the environment. The children of Ebenezer home also presented a song and welcomed the CAN Youth Team.
Akum Amri expressed his view about the importance of the training for the children and also for the environment at large. The training will also provide income generation activity for the children and through this art, the Orphanage home will also be financially sustained. He also shared his opinion of networking and collaborating with the DMC to meet the demands of the market.
He urged the people of Nagaland to look back at how we have all contributed towards the unhealthy environment around us.
The children Secretary of the Orphanage home gave the vote of thanks by extending their gratefulness to Moa Sangtam, Administrator Dimapur Municipal Council and his staff.
Ebenezer orphanage home also lauded CAN Youth for taking up the initiative of paper bags and for imparting the training to various groups & organization.
