DLSAs conducts legal awareness programme

Dimapur, September 28: The Kohima District Legal Services Authority on the invitation of The Bright Morning Star Children Home, Kohima on September 25 visited the home for a 1-day seminar organized by the children home.
Apila Sangtam and Vimeno Nakhro panel lawyers Kohima District Legal Services Authority participated on behalf of KDLSA as the resource persons. Topics such as children and law, RTE (Right to Education) Act, 2009 were sensitized to the children.
Phek: On September 26, Phek DLSA attended one day seminar organized by Thenyizumi Women Society at Thenyizu village under Phek District.
Presenting on Domestic Violence Act 2005, Keneinuo Swuro, Project Assistant Phek DLSA highlighted the rights of aggrieved person(s) and remedies under DV Act. Sekhotso Rokha Panel lawyer PDLSA shared the causes/ effect, prevention and protection under Immoral Traffic (prevention) Act 1986, followed by an interactive session where further discussion were engaged and insights were imparted on the highlighted topics.
Wokha: Awareness on Right To Education (RTE) was conducted at Grace School Wokha on September 28 by Wokha District Legal Services Authority (WDLSA).
Andrew Tsanglao, Administrator, Grace School Wokha spoke on Right To Education. Legal pamphlets was also distributed to faculties and students. (Page News Service)
