Dimapur, April 29: The Dimapur District Legal Services Authority (DDLSA) conducted painting competition (International Earth Day) on April 26 in the DC’s conference hall, Dimapur.
In a short programme, Moatila Ao, panel lawyer spoke on the significance and importance of observing the International Earth Day. Legal Literacy Club of seven schools participated in the painting competition namely Govt. High School Sarbura, Livingstone Foundation International, MGM Hr.Sec. School, Govt. High School Burma Camp, Govt. High School Diphupar (B); St. Stephen’s Hr. Sec. School and Govt.High School Naharbari. Altogether 31 students participated in the painting competition.
The first position was secured by Tsuzolu Rakho of Livingstone Foundation International; 2nd Kengdunwi of Govt. High School Sarbura and 3rd – Ayush Bhowal of Livingstone Foundation International.
CJM & Secretary, DDLSA Ajongba Imchen was the judge of the competition. All the participants were given certificates and the winners of the painting competition were awarded prize money along with certificate of achievement.
Tuensang: Tuensang District Legal Services Authority conducted painting competition to commemorate Earth Day 2019 on April 27 under the Theme “Protect our Species” at CKS Hall Tuensang. 29 students from 8 schools namely Evlavya Model Residential School, Loyem Memorial High School, Govt. Higher Secondary School Tuensang, 3rd NAP Unit High School, Govt. Higher Secondary School Thangjam, St. John’s Higher Secondary School, Baptist Thangyen School, Govt. High School Chaba.
First prize was bagged by Tochumong R. Of St. John’s Higher Secondary School, 2nd – Khumong Khiam of St. John’s Higher Secondary School and 3rd – Setiu Khiam of 3rd NAP High School. Five consolation prizes were won by K. Naset Sanchu of Eklvaya Model Residential School, Yemsen of 3rd NAP High School, Tsadiba of Govt. Higher Secondary School Tuensang, Thongpong K. of Govt. Higher Secondary School Tuensang and Taniu of Eklvaya Model Residential School. Cash prize of Rs 3000, Rs 2000 and Rs 1000 along with certificates were given to the first, second and third respectively and a consolation prize of Rs 200 each were given to five participants. All the stationeries and materials were provided by TDLSA.
The programme ended with prize distribution and refreshment provided by TDLSA. (Page News Service)
