Director IPR Tokishe Sema no more

Kohima, December 5: Incumbent Director of Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Nagaland, Z. Tokishe Sema passed away today after prolonged illness at his private residence in Dimapur.
He had been undergoing cancer treatment since April and was detected with multiple organ failure, sources said, adding that he had returned home today and breathed his last at around 6:30 p.m.
Sema is survived by his wife and five children.
His funeral will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m., sources said.
Sema had joined service as technical executive in 1990, got promoted to Deputy Director in 1999, Joint Director in 2015, Additional Director in 2017 and was serving as the Director of IPR since November 18, 2020.
Advisor, Information and Public Relations, Village Guards, S Keoshu Yimkhiung has expressed shock at the demise of Tokishe, Director, IPR.
In a condolence message, Yimkhiung said lateTokishe was a gentlemen with full of dedication and zeal to work for the people and for the department. He was a man of action with full of sincerity and selflessly rendering his service for the welfare of the department and government of Nagaland as a whole.
Stating that his demise has created a huge void not only to the department but also to the State Government, the Advisor said his selflessly contribution and services to the people of Nagaland will not be forgotten but will be cherish forever.
He also conveyed deepest condolence to the bereaved family and prayed that Almighty God grant solace and comfort to all the family members.
NPA:
The Nagaland Press Association (NPA) has expressed grief at the untimely demise of Er. Z. Tokishe Sema, Director, Information and Public Relations (DIPR).
In a condolence message, the NPA said his demise is not only a loss to the State government, but to the press fraternity with whom he was closely associated with.
His close association and support for the welfare of the press in the State will be always remembered, the NPA said and conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members.
Press Clubs:
Press Clubs of Dimapur and Kohima have expressed grief at the demise of the IPR Director.
The Dimapur Press Club said that late Tokishe was effective in his role as the head of the department and shared a good rapport with everyone.
The DPC conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that God grant strength and courage to bear the irreparable loss.
The members of Kohima Press Club (KPC), while expressing shock at the demise of Z Tokishe Sema, said that as an officer of state IPR, late Tokishe was a well-wisher and an advocate of the welfare of the press fraternity.
In his demise, we have lost a father figure, a humble officer and a fine soul, the KPC stated and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that Almighty God grant them solace at this time of loss and grief.
