Dimapur police prohibits

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 3: Dimapur police has prohibited flying of sub-conventional aerial platforms like para-gliders, para-motors, hang gliders, UAVs, UASs, microlight aircrafts, remotely piloted aircrafts, hot air balloons, small size powered aircrafts, quadcopters, etc. over Dimapur District in view of the forthcoming Independence Day celebration 2021.
Dimapur police issued the prohibitory order following reports that certain criminal or anti-social elements inimical to India may pose a threat of safety of the general public, dignitaries and vital installation by the use of sub-conventional aerial platforms in Dimapur District.
Commissioner of Police, Rothihu Tetseo, warned that violation of the order will be punishable under Section 188 of IPC. The order comes into force from August 4, and will be in force till August 17, unless withdrawn earlier.
